Shop billing system

A shop bill passes through different hands. Drafts and bills waiting for the cashier must remain visible across days, while completed sales, returns and historical transactions need a different view. Mixing those jobs creates a confusing desk.
The billing desk includes open drafts and bills waiting for the cashier, including earlier days. Completed bills on the desk focus on today, so pending work does not disappear at midnight.
The historical register keeps the broader record. Net sales, cash and online receipts account for returns/refunds, while cancelled bills are excluded from those totals.
Biller, cashier, checker and admin workflows shape the experience. Bill numbers, customer context, area and staff details help people identify a transaction and understand its handoff.
Mobile billing cards expose useful context below the title. Search, filter bottom sheets and floating billing actions adapt the desk for small screens; admin shares those refinements within existing permissions.
The interface follows the job people are trying to complete, with the right context at each handoff.
The system is in development and being iterated through role-specific desktop and mobile workflows. The case study describes current product decisions rather than claiming a completed rollout or measured business results.
Continue validating billing, returns and daily closing across roles, with attention to mobile usability and reliable reconciliation.
