First draft · Ongoing iteration

01 / The context

The problem behind the product.

Restaurant service has different rhythms. Takeaway needs payment before preparation; dine-in needs table and waiter context throughout service. A generic checkout screen misses the handoffs that make those workflows work.

Design around the service flow before adding more management screens.
02 / The approach

Decisions that shape the experience.

01

Respect each order type

The draft supports dine-in, takeaway and parking orders. Table exclusivity and waiter assignment establish the service context; takeaway payment precedes preparation.

02

Carry the order into the kitchen

Whole-order kitchen stages make progress visible. Browser-printable receipts and kitchen tickets support a first review of the workflow without assuming automatic printer integration.

03

Make the bill understandable

Cash, card and online payments sit alongside bill-level discounts and configured service charges. Online payment proof is part of the reviewed flow.

04

Give owners an operating view

The owner workspace brings together menu/configuration, sales reports, purchase entry and expenses. Core English/Urdu labels and RTL layout begin to address local use.

03 / The flow

A clear path through the work.

The interface follows the job people are trying to complete, with the right context at each handoff.

01
Choose service & table
02
Build and prepare the order
03
Record payment & close
04 / Where it stands

Built with room to evolve.

This is an owner-private first draft. Separate staff authentication, manager PIN approvals, shift reconciliation, audited refunds, full offline sync and production printer support remain release work. It is not being presented as a live restaurant installation.

What comes next

Build the management tools and enforced staff permissions, then validate operational reliability before a production release.
