Compress a photo below 20KB, 50KB or 100KB
If a form rejects your photo because it is too large, enter its maximum file size above. The tool checks the output against that limit in bytes. Smaller targets may require lower quality or fewer pixels, so inspect the preview before submitting.
Prepare screenshots, signatures and document scans
Reduce image size for application forms, email attachments, or product listings. For scans and signatures, check small text and fine lines at 100% view. A smaller file still needs to meet your destination’s format and dimension requirements.
Choose JPG, PNG or WebP
JPG is useful for photos and replaces transparent areas with white. PNG retains transparency, but reaching a small target may require resizing. WebP supports transparency and adjustable compression; check that your form accepts it.

questions, answered.
How do I compress an image to 100KB?
Select your image, choose the 100 KB preset, and click Compress image. If the target is reached, the download will be below 100,000 bytes. For a tighter limit, choose 20 KB or 50 KB. Allow smaller dimensions if the original image cannot fit at its current size.
Can I compress an image without losing quality?
Not every size target can be reached without a visible change. JPG and WebP compression can soften details. Very small limits may also need smaller dimensions. Compare the original and compressed previews, especially for text, IDs, and signatures.
Is this image compressor private and free?
Yes. It is free to use without signup, and your selected image is not uploaded. Compression happens in your browser. This tool has no image upload server, advertising scripts, or analytics trackers. The website’s hosting provider still receives normal page requests, but never your selected image.
What is the difference between compression and resizing?
Compression reduces the bytes used to store an image. Resizing changes its pixel dimensions. This tool first tries the original dimensions, then reduces them proportionally if needed and if you allow it. Disable “Allow smaller dimensions” when you need to preserve the original width and height.
Why can’t every image reach every size?
Image complexity, dimensions, and format affect the minimum file size. PNG has no quality slider; keeping PNG may require smaller dimensions. Try WebP or JPG if your destination accepts it. JPG replaces transparent areas with white.
Will the result work on my application form?
The tool checks the file-size target only. Check your form’s required format and dimensions too. Animated images, HEIC, SVG, and PDF are not supported in this version.
